Terms and Conditions

By signing up and/or using the gettingthereuk.co.uk web site ("Getting There") you agree that you have read and understand this Agreement ("Agreement") and that as a member of Getting There you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions you cannot use Getting There.

Membership

  1. Getting There reserves the right to refuse membership or terminate accounts without notice at any time.
  2. As a member of Getting There you will earn cashback from shopping with merchants on the website and clicking through the links provided.
  3. Getting There will share other advertising revenues generated by the Getting There website through the activities of Getting There members with Getting There members. These revenues along with such proportion of unallocated funds as the directors of Getting There decide shall be shared with Getting There members taking into account the value of purchases made and the frequency of purchases made.
  4. Until the launch of Getting There's sister site pennyyzzz.com ("Penny Yzzz") you can either donate the cashback earned to a cause or keep it for yourself. If you opt to keep the cashback for yourself then you agree that once Penny Yzzz has been launched your membership of Getting There and any monies accrued in your Getting There account will automatically be transferred to Penny Yzzz.

Transferability

  1. As a member of Getting There you may change the cause you support at any time. To do this simply change your member details. If you do not wish the cause you have stopped supporting to receive the cashback accrued in your account then you must notify Getting There before the 5th of the month. If you notify Getting There of the change after the 5th of the month the cashback in your account may be given to the cause you previously supported.
  2. Membership of Getting There ceases on death.

Privacy Policy

  1. Getting There promises to maintain the privacy of members information. The full extent of Getting There's commitment can be found in our Privacy Policy.

Cashback, Offers and Transactions

  1. Any transactions you make are not with Getting There but with the merchants you purchase from.
  2. You must be logged into the Getting There website in order to qualify for cashback on any searches and purchases.
  3. In order for purchases to qualify for cashback, it is essential that you click through the link on the Getting There website. Reaching a web-site or merchant by any other means will disqualify any cashback from that purchase.
  4. In most cases the cashback calculated by retailers excludes postage and delivery costs and any VAT on the transaction.
  5. Cashback is not payable on refunded or reversed sales.
  6. All transactions are electronically logged and reported back by the retailer. Getting There make every effort to ensure that retailers are correctly reporting cashback sales however we cannot be held responsible should the retailers systems fail to report back your sale.
  7. In the rare case that this occurs Getting There will make every effort to negotiate the cashback reward from the retailer on your behalf. However the retailer's decision is final.
  8. Getting There cannot support requests for missing cashback sales where the transaction took place more than 90 days ago.
  9. Cashback paid to Getting There by retailers is owned by Getting There and held in an account for you ("Account") created by Getting There.
  10. Except for purchases made from amazon Getting There aims to credit cashbacks to your Account within 28 days of your transaction taking place. However Getting There cannot guarantee this and accepts no liability for any problems arising from cashback not being credited to your Account within this time.
  11. Cashback cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, unless stated on the Getting There website.
  12. Except for cashbacks earned through amazon each month and as at the 20th day of the month Getting There will review the balance of cashback in all Accounts.
    Cashbacks earned from amazon purchases will be credited to your account each quarter.
  13. Cashback payments will be paid as soon as practicable after the 20th of each month providing the aggregate value of cashback in the Accounts of a cause&rsquos supporters exceeds £25.
    Any cashback under this amount will be carried forward to the next month.
    If you have opted to keep the cashback yourself then cashback payments will be issued to you once the value of cashback in your account exceeds £25.

  14. Getting There cashback has no cash value until a withdrawal request has been approved by Getting There.
    At this time cashback will be converted into GBP at the rate of £1 of cashback = £1.
    Unless otherwise stated, cashback payments are only available on purchases completed online. No cashback will be paid on phone or post orders.
    Orders placed online that are later completed or revised by phone or in the merchant&rsquos store are also not eligible for cashback. If this occurs you are advised to cancel the order and place a new order online.
  15. Should a retailer delay payment or cease trading for any reason then we will attempt to recover the cashback but Getting There cannot be held responsible for lost cashback as a result of retailer's mistakes, ceasing to trade or other situations beyond our control.
  16. Each offer is governed by individual terms and conditions. Please check with the merchant concerned for full details. Getting There reserves the right to remove or amend any offer at any time without notice.


Your Responsibilities

  1. Getting There relies on your computer allowing cookies. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have cookies turned on.
  2. Members agree to receive regular electronic newsletters, occasionally supplemented by other special offer mailings.
  3. If your account is seen to be dormant (showing no transactions) for 12 months or more, Getting There reserve the right to terminate your account. In this case, any cashback accrued to your account and not paid to a cause will be forfeited.
  4. Forfeited monies will be distributed at the discretion of the directors of Getting There UK Limited. The directors excersing their discretion intend to use forfeited monies to sponsor and help causes participating in Getting There and to make an annual donation to nominated charities. The charities nominated for 2009 is Help for Heroes (Charity No. 1120920) and BBC Children in Need (Charity No. 802502)

Getting There's Responsibilities and Rights

  1. Getting There reserves the right to modify any of the terms and conditions in this list, at any time. In this case we will notify members of any changes by posting the revised agreement on the Getting There website.
  2. We will not pass your details to any data marketing enterprise or to any unnecessary third parties. Our privacy policy outlines exactly how we handle your account information and the steps we take to ensure your privacy.
  3. The Getting There Website includes links to third party websites that are controlled and maintained by others. Any link to other websites is not an endorsement of such websites and you acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for the content or availability of any such sites.
  4. The contents of the Getting There website is not intended to be taken as advice and should not be relied upon in making any decision.
  5. This agreement will be governed by the laws of England and Wales, without reference to rules governing choice of laws.
  6. All copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in the Getting There website and its content (including without limitation the website design, text graphics, all software and source codes connected with the Getting There Website) are owned by or licensed to Getting There or otherwise used by Getting There as permitted by law.
  7. In accessing the Getting There website you agree that you will access the content solely for your personal, non-commercial use. None of the content may be downloaded, copied, reproduced, transmitted, stored, sold or distributed without the prior written consent of the copyright holder. This excludes the downloading, copying and/or printing of pages of the Getting There Website for personal, non-commercial home use only.
  8. The Getting There website is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.
  9. To the extent permitted by law, Getting There will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage whatever (including without limitation loss of business, opportunity, data, profits) arising out of or in connection with the use of the Getting There Website.
  10. Getting There cannot guarantee that its website will be error free, or that defects in the website will be corrected or that the Getting There website or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or anything else which may be harmful or destructive.
  11. If any of these terms and conditions should be determined to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any court of competent jurisdiction then such Term or Condition shall be severed and the remaining terms and conditions shall survive and remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
  12. Getting There cannot be held responsible under any circumstances for damages of any character (including but not limited to, direct or indirect damages resulting form the loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use or inability to use this programme.
  13. In the event of war, invasion, act of foreign enemy hostilities (whether war has been declared or not) civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, or military or usurped power, then Getting There shall be relieved all liabilities uncured under this contract.

Privacy Policy

General Policy

Getting There respects your privacy. We understand that filling in forms that keep asking for all kinds of personal information is not only irritating but can also seem suspicious. For this reason Getting There unlike many other web sites has deliberately cut down on the information we ask of you. We do not ask members of Getting There for any bank details and will never send you any e-mails asking for this information.
We only ask for address details if you are administering a cause, want to set up a "Family and Friends" cause or if you have decided to keep the cashback for yourself. This is so that we know where to send the donation cheque.
We do not share, sell or rent out any personal information gathered with any third parties.

Registration

Getting There will require you to register to access any members area's of the website and to use any of the websites features. Please be aware that Getting There will never contact you asking for your registration information.

Third Party Websites

Getting There operates with third party websites to provide Getting There users with the opportunity to earn cashback from their purchases. Getting There does not share any personal information with these sites that could be used to indentify you.

Cookies

Getting There relies on the use of cookies to track transactions on third party websites. Getting There may use cookies to track user behaviour to provide a better service in the future.

Security

While Getting There strives to keep the information that you supply directly or indirectly secure please be aware that the Internet is not a fully secure medium.

By using Getting There you agree to accept this privacy policy and are aware that this policy may change at any time. All changes to this policy will appear on this webpage.
